Cody Bible Church History
In the mid-1980’s , a small group of believers in Cody, Wyoming adopted a constitution and formally became a church called Cody Bible Church. In the fall of 1987, Pastor Joe Stewart was called to God’s praise to become the pastor. In 1993 Cody Bible Church moved into a new building on Cougar Ave.
When Pastor Joe retired in 2005, Cody Bible Church under the guidance of Pastor Paul Sheeley began exploring the possibilities of a merger with Shoshone Bible Church.
During this time there was a group of believer meeting in a rented church building. Called Shoshone Bible Church was founded in November 2004 whose pastor was Levi Robinson. As the church grew, the parishioners began praying about a more permanent home. It was during this time of prayer that Cody Bible Church approached Pastor Levi about the possibility of a merger. After much prayer and God’s infinite grace, the merger became a reality in March of 2006.
This marriage of two church bodies has truly been blessed by God and a blessing to the local community. Pastor Levi Robinson retired in 2021.
